We chose our AMHA mares for their elegancy, good back et great movement but also because of their bloodlines. It's important for us that our broodmares ancestry are know for foaling easily (mother instinct, nursing and feeding...). In fact, they are usually taller than our stallions to have more chance of a successful foaling season.
They live in small group outside with their stallion and go in the barn before and after foaling. In general and according to their physical condition, our mares have 2 to 3 foals before resting for one year. During this year off, they are put back to training to build up muscle insuring tonicity and well-being (physical and mental) which is an essential part of breeding.
